Types of Inclusions

Breastmilk

Breastmilk jewelry preserves a fleeting season of motherhood in a tangible, lasting form. Your milk is carefully processed and preserved before being incorporated into your chosen design. Each piece is unique, just like your journey.

Cremation Ashes (Human or Pet)

Ashes memorial jewelry allows you to carry the memory of a loved one close. Only a very small amount of cremation ashes is needed. Each piece is created with respect, care, and intention, honoring the life and legacy behind it.

Fabric or Clothing

Fabric inclusions allow meaningful clothing or textiles to live on in a wearable form. This can include baby clothing, a loved one’s garment, or any fabric with sentimental value.

Hair or Fur

Hair and fur keepsakes preserve a physical connection to someone deeply loved — a child, partner, or pet. These inclusions can be used alone or combined with other materials to create a deeply personal piece.

Combination Inclusions

Many customers choose to combine inclusions, such as:

  • Breastmilk + hair
  • Ashes + fur
  • Fabric + ashes

Combination pieces allow you to tell a fuller story and preserve multiple connections in one keepsake.

Preservation & Care

All inclusions are handled individually and never mixed with other orders. Materials are preserved using proven techniques designed to protect the integrity of the inclusion while creating a lasting piece of jewelry.

Finished keepsakes should be treated as fine jewelry:

  • Avoid prolonged water exposure
  • Remove before heavy activity
  • Store in a dry, safe place when not worn

Frequently Asked Questions

Can every piece be made with any inclusion?

Yes. Most designs can be made with breastmilk, ashes, hair, fur, fabric, or combinations. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out before ordering.

How much of my inclusion do you need.

Only a small amount is required. Specific instructions are provided after purchase as well, however, typical inclusions are listed below:

  • Breastmilk ~5ml per piece
  • Ashes ~ 1/4 tsp per piece
  • Hair or Fur ~ A small tuft is usually sufficient
  • Fabric ~ A 1"x1" piece is usually sufficient, however some have sent various sizes and pieces depending on the look and item they are sending in.

Are inclusions returned if unused?

Yes and No.

  • Breastmilk inclusions are not returned. Once I process your breastmilk it is no longer safe for consumption, in the effor to avoid any mix ups, I keep your breastmilk on file.
  • Ashes: I CAN keep some ashes on file if you request I do so if you plan to order more pieces in the future or if you want the security of knowing if a piece is lost or broken, I already have your loved ones with me. However, if you do not request me to hold ashes, they will be sent back with your order.
  • Hair, Fur, Clothing, etc: Similar to ashes, these will all be sent back unless otherwise specifically requested.

Is my inclusion safe during the process?

Yes. Every inclusion is handled individually and respectfully throughout the entire process. I reach out multiple times throughout the process to let you know exactly where you are at as well as to communicate and confirm the final design.
